Paupackan Lake Estates is a small, modest home owner association (development) in Paupack Township, Wayne County. Some folks say it’s in Lakeville, some say it’s “in” Hawley. Since it’s served by the Hawley post office, it is technically Hawley. Ain’t it great, being in rural Northeast PA?
The main attraction of Paupackan Lake Estates is….Paupackan Lake. According to the Paupackan Lake Estates Official Website, this glacial lake is one of the cleanest ones you’ll find in Northeast Pennsylvania. This is due in part to the fact that power boats are not allowed on the lake. Strictly for non-powerboat use, Paupackan Lake is a great place for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and all around lolling around enjoying the quiet stillness. The lake is stocked with sunfish, perch, walleye – it’s a regular fisherman’s delight.
Homes in Paupackan Lake Estates are modestly priced – the lakefront homes will fetch the highest prices, of course. You can find homes for almost any budget here. No, it’s not as fancy as The Hideout or Wallenpaupack Lake Estates – but you also won’t be paying the association dues of those places!
Dues in Paupackan Lake Estates – includes community water – are currently $830 for an improved lot (i.e., with a house on it.) Dues will be higher if you own more than one lot. (Subject to change!)
